I am from Northern California but now live in the UK. I remember as a kid going abalone diving. I didnt see that you tenderised the ormer... I am guessing ormer to be a type of abalone. I remember having to beat the hell out of abalone to tenderise it prior to cooking. Do you not need to do that with Ormer?

A great night's foraging. However you definitely need a much brighter lamp you can't really see anything it's much too dark.
